We know that millions of people in this world, in developed, developing and underdeveloped countries do not have their own homes. Though we may be of the opinion that Governments should provide free housing to the poor, the fact of the matter is that it not happening so. Of course we have seen our Governments providing homes to homeless in slums, tribal areas and in the recent times to people who lost their homes by natural disasters. However, there is no end to this need and help from any quarter to improve the situation is most welcome. For a society to be rated progressive, shelter for all its people is an important requirement. Having one’s own house, reduces many uncertainties and help people live a better standard of life with the family members. They get privacy, safety and basic sanitation facility within a house.
