Infrastructure for Government and Unaided Schools

Kerala has one of the highest population of workers who have migrated from other states and many of them have their families also living with them. We are supporting an unaided school, Mar Athanasius High School at Kakkanad, Kochi where students are mostly children of migrant labourers and those coming from poor families. The Foundation provided a smart classroom for the school with computer and projector facilities, which has given a boost to the teaching process in the school. The school gives free noon meals to the children and the Foundation provided a secure grocery storeroom facility in the school.

Government High School at Binanipuram, Kochi also has students mostly from families of migrant laborers. The foundation provided the School hall with furniture so that the children can have a comfortable seating when conducting programmes such as youth festival, annual day celebration etc.

One other School which was supported by the Foundation is the Govt Higher Secondary School at Thiruvathavur, Madurai District in Tamilnadu. The School is in a remote village and has about 1200 students all coming from deprived socio-economic communities. The Foundation provided the School with bench and desks, computers and an Audio Visual Lab.
