‘Blood Mobile’ Van
The Foundation joined hands with Citizen India Foundation, Thiruvananthapuram and the Kerala State Aids Control Society to procure a mobile unit by name Blood Mobile – an air- conditioned Van with facilities to collect and store blood, from 3 donors at a time. The Unit can collect as many as 30 bags of blood per day before transporting to the blood bank. Large number of youngsters at Thiruvananthapuram, both employed as well as students donate blood at regular intervals when this Van visits their place of work/studies. In its first year of operation from June 2018, the Van has been utilized for conducting 200 outreach blood donation camps and about 4500 donors have voluntarily contributed blood
